Ruth A Kanable Householder died at her home in Chariton on March 17 1908 aged 82 years 4 months 11 days Funeral services were led by Rev Nathan Evans at the M E Church Interment followed in Chariton cemetery She was born July 28 1825 in Bedford County Pennsylvania Married Daniel Householder March 23 1845 and moved from Illinois to Chariton in 1875 The couple had ten children seven of whom survived their move to Chariton later life she was active in the M E church and served as class leader teacher and stewardess The obituary notes several surviving children and siblings and mentions community sympathy and local notices including an Easter opening at Miss Cibbs
