April 1909 Lucas County Board Proceedings Summary

April 24 regular session notes assessors set up Lucas County National and Commercial Banks without exemption. J A Lockwood tax partial accept with 30c fee. Bonds for Melvin constable and Miksell clerk approved. $200 road fund per two districts authorized. Deputy Treasurer bond $2500. May 1 materials for Steele Bridges purchased. accounting firm Des Moines hired. Quit claim deed to Walter C. Gookin authorized to remove cloud on Lot 8 Block 16 Chariton. Kent runway petition granted with compliance to Iowa code. Board adjourned.

Board of Supervisors Ratify Tax Adjustments 1909

June 7 1909 Lucas County Iowa board in regular session approves equalization changes for townships Benton Jackson Liberty Lincoln Otter Creek Pleasant Warren Washington Whitebreast Union and Town of Chariton Russell and others. They adopt resolutions including transfer of 1244 93 from Domestic Animal Fund to County Fund and a refund warrant of 10000 among County Fund Bond County Road Soldiers Relief.
