A three car collision on US 169 four miles south of here left Roy V. Ray and his wife in a Chevrolet and involved a Plymouth driven by Jackie Weaver and a Dodge driven by Oral Archambo. Janet Archambo and Mrs. Parson were also in the vehicles. Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Parson were admitted for injuries, while Archambo and his wife were treated and released. The patrol said all three cars were total losses.

Police chase ends on dead end street in weekend crashes
Police investigated three noninjury traffic accidents over the weekend and reported several others. A pursuit ended on a dead end of West 14th after a car left a South Santa Fe drive in a high speed exit. two youths fled on foot with one arrested and the other surrendering at the station later. The driver was identified as Eric Ding to Ray Cheney from Carnes and the other youth as Rucker of Yates Santa Fe. A wrecker towed the car and both suspects were questioned. Other incidents include a 2 p.m. collision involving Mrs Dellabd M. Gromer and Andrew M. Johnson on 11th between Central and Malcolm, with repairs estimated at $15, and a 9:25 p.m. Saturday incident on 18 N. Evergreen. Additional notes list minor accidents involving Roy Cheney, Harry Sleeper, and damage to parked cars on North Evergreen and downtown, plus a bicycle accident near Oak and Garfield injuring Walter Akridge.
