Teenager Kills Brother Over Boredom in Houston
Diana Dave Humphries 16, an honor student at Reagan High, admitted ambushing and killing her 14-year-old brother Robert D. Humphries Jr with a .22 rifle as he walked into the den. She planned to kill their parents and herself but aborted after seeing her mother. Police say Robert was shot in the forehead. Diana said she did it to end routine life. Diana surrendered to probation officials and will receive a psychiatric exam.

An electric typewriter and an adding machine, nearly new, were stolen from the Cole Motor Co office at 210 W. Main last night. Kenneth Cole valued the machines at 600 dollars. Police say entry was by breaking a window on the east side to access the service area and the items were carried out through a west garage door. Cole was in the office at 9 30 p.m. and saw the machines then.

Injuries Fatal To Mrs Elmer Franks
Mrs Elmer Franks and her husband were injured in a two car collision at the intersection of US-166 and K-99 south of Sedan while returning from a Texas visit. Mrs Franks died at a Sedan hospital after being in critical condition since September 18. Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Johnson Mortuary in charge.

An underground line short caused a power outage lasting up to three hours on a city power plant circuit along the south side of Main Street.
