Barrick challenges Chanute city ambulance contract award
Ed Barrick owner of Professional Ambulance Service says state law may bar awarding subsidies for ambulance service where adequate coverage exists. Chanute Commissioners approved a $900 monthly contract for Reddick Ambulance over Barrick bid at $600 with more insurance. Barrick seeks AG ruling to apply to city as well as county contracts and may relocate Chanute ambulances. Jack Reddick unavailable for comment.
