Nation Cleaners celebrated 25 years in Chanute with an open house at 121 W Main, welcoming more than two hundred visitors and flowers for 100 women. Crisbee & Co. opened a mutual funds office at 4 W Main with E E Lofgren as manager, hosting guests from 9 a m to 5 p m. Lofgren, retired from First National Bank after 49 years, spoke of the event.

Crash Near Galesburg Injures Mrs Myres
Two car collision five miles south of Galesburg at 11 50 a m yesterday left Mrs John R Myres of Parsons with cuts and bruises treated at Mercy Hospital Parsons. Her husband and six children aged 1 to 14 were not hurt. The Buick driver John A Lakin of Parsons and his wife were uninjured. Front ends of both cars damaged.

Three Soldiers and Boy Die in Ohio Crash
An automobile rear blew a tire and left the road striking a cemetery entrance on Route 40 near West Jefferson Ohio. Army sergeants from Ft. Riley Ricardo Rivera Rivera 25 and Sanchez Fabio Visen 20 both of Puerto Rico died along with a young boy Collazio Fabio Vas. Four other persons were injured in the Madison County incident.

Driver Is Arrested After Accident Here
James D. Daniels of Elsmore R1 was arrested early Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene. He was released on 150 bond with a hearing set for Saturday at 4 pm. Daniels’ car struck a vehicle driven by Charles W. Barnow of 917 S. Washington. Barnow followed and stopped Daniels at Main and Lincoln. A companion, Gary L. Howerton of Lavonburg, was charged with intoxication and posted 15 bond. Daniels’ 1951 Ford and Barnow’s 1957 Chevrolet sustained damage.

Weekend rash of noninjury traffic accidents reported
Police logged a series of non injury crashes over the weekend. Drivers including Hubert W. Van Leeuwen and Mrs. W. A.
