Artificial Respiration Saves Fort Scott Boy
A 16 month old boy named William Edward Lear, son of Mr and Mrs Glen Lear near Mapleton, was found face down in a farm pond and received artificial respiration after neighbors aided Mrs Lear. The child was reported in good condition at a Fort Scott hospital. The mother woke to the dog Whiskers barking and wet fur on the dog.
