Rainbow Unit reunion marks 41st anniversary of St Mihiel battle
About 100 members and wives of the Chanute Rainbow unit of the 423rd Division attended the annual reunion at the National Guard Armory on Saturday night. The event honored the St Mihiel Salient anniversary, with talks by Leo nard Hill of Tulsa and Robert Taylor of Kansas City. Veterans traveled from Oklahoma Texas and Kansas for a covered dish dinner and reminiscences. A Tioga Hotel breakfast closed the weekend. Local chapter president Francis Nourse led invitations to 300.
