Musicians From Mexico Arrive for Fiesta Here
The Nambo muariaches troupe from Patzcuaro Mexico arrived by bus in Chanute for the Mexican Fiesta to be held Friday and Saturday. Eight musicians accompanied by host greeters Henry Watkins and Pete Guadian. They were hosted at Crespin De La Torre's home and will rehearse tonight at St Patrick's School. Performances are slated at Santa Fe Park and in the downtown shopping area Saturday with two 11 am to noon and 1:30 to 2:30 pm sets. Pedro Nambo leads the group.
