Green a 30 year old Burns Kansas oil man charged with conspiracy to stage a bomb hoax on a Trans World Airlines plane to secure a half million dollar damage suit. Three signed statements naming George Donald Bender of Wichita as originator were read to the jury. Bender 31 a used car salesman testified Green urged him to join the plot and attempted to recruit him for a Wichita used car lot partnership, though he did not intend to carry out the plan.

Driver Admits Holdup After Car Tag Check
In St Joseph Missouri police stopped a car with dealer tags from Kansas and held Willard Dean Otte 29 of Grinnell Iowa for linkage to a Des Moines tavern safe cracking. Otte said he broke into the Des Moines tavern and stole 400 to 500 dollars. He had been released from Iowa Penitentiary last month and agreed to return to Iowa. Officers found 200 dollars hidden in the car and continued questioning.
