Car Crash Damages Three Vehicles In City Block
Two cars and a pickup were damaged in a crash in the 900 block on North Santa Fe near 8 last night. Edgar Adrian 22 of Florence drove a 1964 Plymouth, Clara Gilliland 53 of Chanute drove a 194 Cadillac, and Jenna Barker 33 of Allen drove a 1963 Chevrolet pickup. The northbound pickup stopped to turn left, the Gilliland car tried to pass and was caught between the two, with Adrian’s car worth about 125 dollars, Gilliland’s about 50, and the pickup about 25. The pickup belonged to Beachner Construction Co. of St. Paul. Police also logged two earlier reports of damage to parked cars.

Wichita Man Found Dead at Chanute Rooms
W R Thomas, 71, of Wichita, was found dead about 9:30 a m today at 62 E Main Chanute Rooms. Death due to natural causes, he was an outpatient of the tuberculosis hospital and had rented a room recently. He had an appointment Monday at the hospital, and death likely occurred Monday while in bed. A Sunday paper was in the room. brother George Thomas of Great Bend was next of kin. Body sent to Koch Skinner Memorial Home for funeral arrangements.
