Three prisoners who overpowered a jailer and threatened a radio dispatcher during a Wyandotte County jail escape were captured five hours later five miles east of Topeka Kansas. The trio William D. Osborne 23 of Long Beach California Claude Weldon Cooper 21 of Kansas City Missouri and William Edward Johnson 23 of Lawrence Kansas were taken without resistance and no weapons were found in their car.
