American POW Sexton Freed Near Saigon After Two Years
Staff Sgt. John C. Sexton Jr. of Warren Michigan was released by Viet Cong after more than two years as a prisoner. He walked barefoot eight hours to Loc Ninh and reached an allied base camp 70 miles north of Saigon. He was examined and found generally in good condition with foot injuries and possible arm wound.
