Neosho County farmers signed soil bank wheat reserve contracts totaling 9,644 acres for the 1958 harvest, about five times larger than last year. The one year agreements pay $25.50 to $30 an acre for taking all or part of their wheat allotments out of production. Deadline for 1958 wheat reserve contracts was last Friday. Soil bank conservation deals for five years have not yet been signed and will begin when forms are available. Last year farmers signed conservation agreements covering 2,441 acres.
