Senate approves decontrolled gas prices
The Senate voted 50 to 46 to phase out federal price controls on natural gas and raise the controlled price about 70 percent while limiting gas price relief to 29 cents to 1.75 per thousand cubic feet. A House-Senate conference will reconcile differences before final action.
