Crash Kills Kansas Air National Guard Pilot Richard Gorman
Maj. Richard V. Gorman, 36, a Kansas Air National Guard pilot from McPherson, died in an F105 crash during a low-altitude training flight seven miles south of Leon Butler County. He served with the 184th Tactical Fighter Training Group at McConnell AFB and left the regular Air Force in 1967 after enlisting in 1962. A board of officers will investigate the crash.
