Northwest Kansas area vocational school to be dedicated
The Northwest Kansas Area Vocational Technical School in Goodland opens this fall and will be dedicated Saturday with Gov. John Anderson speaking. About 300 students are enrolled including 108 full time, 78 high school students in vocational programs, and 110 night school attendees. The $310,000 building sits on a 20 acre tract near Sherman High School and is financed by participating districts with free tuition for students from Bird City, Brewster, Edson, Goodland, Kanorado, Leel, Oakley, Sharon Springs, SV case, Tribune, Weska and Winona.
