Ice storm signals more cold weather moving in
Travelers who rode out the weekend ice storm should brace for a new winter disturbance predicted to start above Texas and move north and east. Allen Pearson forecasts a snow event for the metropolitan area possibly reaching several inches by Tuesday afternoon though heavy snow is defined as four inches. With subfreezing ground in Kansas City any precipitation remains hazardous for travel and an extended advisory for travelers is in effect.
