Fourteen Railroad Cars Derail North of Humboldt

Chanute FCA group wins four trophies at state conference
Seven members from Chanute's Fellowship of Christian Athletes attended the Rock Springs Camp state conference near Junction City last weekend. Attendees included sponsor Jim Woods and students Steve Marts Tim Fairchild Danny Morris Ed Aday Mike Esslinger and Tim Allen. The event featured speakers rap sessions and athletic events with huddle groups of nine. Woods demonstrated weightlifting. Allen noted outdoor volleyball and basketball amid snowstorms. A gut and grunt contest produced trophies for the winning huddles after a 600 yard mud dash and tug of war. The Chanute group returned with four trophies.
