Hearst Released From San Diego Jail To U.S. Marshals
Warden William Lumpkin said Patricia Hearst was handed over to U.S. marshals this morning from the Metropolitan Correctional Center in San Diego. He declined to reveal the departure time or the taking destination. Hearst's attorney then met privately with U.S. District Judge Orrick in San Francisco as the case moved forward.

Burglars Hit Three Chanute Businesses in Nighttime Theft
Burglars struck Chanute Auto Parts Farmer's Derby and Dude Inc during Thursday night or Friday morning. At Farmer's Derby about 7 30 a.m. theft totaled $9. Chanute Auto Parts also reported at 7 30 a.m. with entry through a north side door. Property loss unknown, but several items were found near the scene. Dude Inc inventory being tallied to determine loss.
