Two men were injured when a 1955 Chevrolet sedan crashed with a 1957 International truck one mile east and one mile south of Earlton around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Don B. Elderly Pedestrian Dies After Driver Hits On Main Street
Fred Stillman 83 was struck by a Galena patrol car on Main Street Wednesday night and died about 55 minutes later at a Joplin Missouri hospital. Patrolman Jim Tutt, driving about 20 mph, said Stillman walked into the car path. Witness Patrolman Bill Pittman said the vehicle did not pass over Stillman. Hospital said Stillman had a fractured leg and head lacerations.
