Two Planes Crash Near Subic Bay Killing Ten
At least ten people died when two US Navy aircraft crashed near the Subic Bay area in the Philippines. Rear Adm. Arthur Spring, commander at Subic, was among the dead along with his wife and eight others including a pilot and copilot. A helicopter crashed nearby with four more fatalities. No survivors were reported and the wreckage was found on Mt. Mariveles on Bataan Peninsula near Subic Bay.
