Grandmother Dies During Tot's Visit
In Milwaukee a 3 year old boy staying with his lonely grandmother Friday found her lifeless body in an unheated house. The 70 year old Mary Chelig apparently died of a heart attack per the medical examiner. The boy, David Barber, could not say how long she had been dead. Alphonsus Barber, the father, discovered her.

Two Chanute men, John Byers and Clayton Wells Sr., serving terms in the Lansing state penitentiary, have filed notice they will apply for executive clemency on December 17. Lawrence Youth Dies After Drinking at Haskell Game
Lawrence police report 17 year old Patrick Bigham drank from a half pint vodka bottle during a football game at Haskell Institute and collapsed. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Douglas County coroner says not natural death and awaits pathology results.
