Two Boys Admit Stealing From Church Collections

Ronald Venus Injured In One Car Crash Northeast Of Chanute
Ronald Venus 16 of Chanute was injured in a one car crash four miles north of Chappell corner on highway K39 east of Chanute around 10:15 pm. He suffered a mild concussion and was in satisfactory condition at Neosho Memorial Hospital with expected release next day. The 1950 Ford driven by Peter Nooteboom 17 of Chanute left the blacktop surfaced gravel, skidded, overturned and was a total loss. Nooteboom and two Chanute girls were passengers. Venus was the only one injured. Police investigated.
