Mrs. Hattie Emerson Burned in Home Accident
Mrs. Hattie L. Emerson, 83, of 507 West Main, suffered serious facial and body burns when her clothing ignited while lighting a gas water heater at about 8 30 a.m. at home. She was taken to Neosho Memorial Hospital by ambulance and her condition was listed as fair after noon. Her son A V Emerson, 815 South Highland, said she was alone then. neighbors helped after she removed burning garments and reached a porch.
