Two Drivers Treated After Night Crash West of Plummer
Two drivers were treated at Neosho Memorial Hospital for minor injuries after a collision on 21st street road about 10:05 last night. Leroy E. Burk, 19, of Eric R. 3 and Eiki A. Fender, 22, Yuma Arizona, were involved. damages were $1500 and $1600 respectively. Burk was turning into a driveway when Fender’s car struck the Mustang from the left front, ejecting it toward a ditch. Burk faces an unsafe turn charge and Fender a failure to control speed to avoid collision.

Deer Strikes 1966 Ford Near St. Paul Killing Buck

Surgeons Remove Live Grenade From Vietnamese Farmer
In Saigon a team of U S and allied doctors removed a live 40 mm grenade embedded in Nguyen Tranh Chinh's back in under four minutes. Maj. Gen. James W. Humphreys Jr. led the operation assisted by Air Force Col. Daniel Campbell and British anesthetist Dr Tony Brown. The grenade was placed in a sand filled box outside the hospital to be detonated. Chinh, from Long An Province, survived with only a wound and a caution to avoid movement that could trigger the device.
