Chauncey Country Club Invites Local Golf Tourney
More than 100 players from Kansas Oklahoma and Missouri are expected for the annual Cha nute Country Club invitational at Chauncey. The course is in its best condition in five years with six flights and $500 in prizes plus medals for each flight. Defending champion Tom Scaletty may not attend. Qualifying starts at 7 tomorrow morning and the public is welcome to watch.

Humboldt Women Attend Final May Meeting at Methodist Church
Humboldt Mrs Anna L Foust spoke at the Humboldt Methodist men's May meeting held at the church Wednesday night the season’s final gathering. A covered dish supper followed with spring flowers on the tables. A J Trueblood retired president presided and introduced Mrs Robert Hamm who introduced Mrs Foust and presented her a corsage. Foust showed world travel slides from last August to Christmas Eve and attended Hiroshima girls school dedication. She served as W SCS U S A official representative and toured many countries. Meetings resume in September.
