A four ton elephant was thrown from a trailer truck in Dallas killing Norman E. Joseph of Newark New Jersey. The elephant named Queenie weighed 8145 pounds and the truck driver W C Hendricks of Atlanta said brakes failed as he tried to avoid an expressway crash.
