Thaye seniors take 1,821 mile trip for graduation
Senior and eighth grade groups from Thaye completed trips marking graduation. The seniors spent five days traveling through Missouri Arkansas and Tennessee visiting Roaring River Bull Shoals Norfolk Lake Rockaway Beach University of Arkansas Shepher d Hills Museum Southwest Missouri State and Drury Colleges. Eighth graders toured Kansas City visiting a car plant the zoo Swope Park dinner and a film.

A 20 year old heir to a 6.8 million estate died in a one car crash west of Junction City Kansas. John W. Baughman II of Liberal perished when his vehicle hit a bridge. His grandmother Ella Baughman and he were set to share land holdings in Kansas Oklahoma and Colorado held in trust until age 35.
