Fortas Acknowledges Lifetime Wolfson Payment Plan

Justice Abe Fortas acknowledged in a letter to Chief Justice Warren that he had agreed with the Wolfson family foundation to receive 20,000 dollars a year for life for his services. The agreement also provided the payments would continue to his wife, tax attorney Carolyn Agger, after his death.
