Son Loses Title To Home To His Mother
In Leavenworth a Topeka man lost the title to his mother’s home after District Judge Joseph J. Dawes set aside the deed. Maria Mc Dowell testified the instrument was taken without consent. Pearl J. McDowell, her daughter-in-law, filed it for recording July 28, 1955 and claimed it had been given to her. The mother intended the title pass upon her death and learned of the transfer from a neighbor via a newspaper real estate column.
