Cambodians Seize US Ship Off Cambodian Coast
The Cambodian navy seized the American merchant ship Mayaguez near Kompong Som in the Gulf of Thailand. President Ford called the act piracy and warned of serious consequences if the ship is not released. Resident escapes from burning home in Chanute
