A 13 year old Chanute boy admitted taking articles of women's clothing from lines at 12 locations. A quantity of clothing was recovered and brought to the police station for possible identification and return to owners. He is referred to juvenile authorities.

Earley Arrested After Humboldt School Collision
Humboldt Kan AP Wayne Earley 24 of Kansas City Kansas faces charges of driving while intoxicated reckless driving and transporting an open bottle after a collision at 18th and Santa Fe. He is held on $175 bond in the local jail. Arthur Shrum 22 from 1901 S Central collided with Earleys 1959 Ford during a U turn.
