The Chanute High School repertory theater presents Froggie Went A Courtin a musical animal mask comedy for children. Director Patricia Abts from Kansas State College of Pittsburg leads 23 student performers and technicians in hours of rehearsal to engage young audiences.

The Kansas Supreme Court upheld the no fault auto insurance law. Insured owners keep existing policies from Jan 1. Uninsured motorists become law violators and cannot receive new license tags without insurance. Personal injury protection up to 17000 per person per accident is payable within 30 days to the owner or household members after an accident.

President Nixon announced an additional 10.3 billion dollars to bolster housing demand by subsidizing conventional and government insured mortgages and aiding savings and loan institutions. He said the move could finance more than 200000 new homes and builds on the prior 6 billion dollar effort aimed at 200000 homes. The plan also includes loans and rate subsidies to lower payments and bolster lending for small mortgages.
