The Tax Research Association of Houston and Harris County reports rising public school costs per pupil from 359.36 in 1961 62 to 666.54 last year. The TRA warns costs may double again in five years even as enrollment grows only moderately.
The Up and Atom 4-H Club held a People-to-People dinner with twenty-seven members present. Susan Wheatley demonstrated, Mark Blickhahn gave a project talk, Kelly Sharp spoke on health, David Williams on safety, Donita Davidson on music appreciation, and Brenda Brock on parliamentary talk. Recreation was led by the Olson family.
