Carcalf Crash Near Earlton Injures Calf, Damages Car
A 1954 Ford driven by Dwight Matzek 16 struck a calf on a county road one mile north and two and a half miles west of Earlton around 830 pm. Matzek escaped injury. car damage about 125 dollars. The calf owner was Mrs. Lee Williams. Undersheriff Lester Marts investigated the incident.

In Kirksville Missouri authorities ruled Terri Lynn Daniels 15 months old died accidentally after her mother found her head in a 10 gallon pickle jar kept in a bedroom. Dee Daniels said she had placed the child on the floor to play with a 3 year old brother Michael and later discovered the tragedy.
