Two Airmen Die as Experimental Plane Explodes
In Tulsa Oklahoma, an experimental B52 Superfortress exploded in flight killing pilot Ross B. Patrick 37 of Wichita and navigator John W. McCort 32 Mulvane Kansas. Co pilot Charles P. Craven 34 and technical observer Earl C. Reed 30 both of Wichita survived by parachuting. All four were Boeing personnel.
