Minor Damage In Accidents Reported Over Weekend
Four minor traffic accidents were logged by police over the weekend. At 7:20 p.m. Saturday a minor collision occurred on N Santa Fe near the overpass involving Harry Soderquist and Frank Ogle Lola. Saturday at 10:30 p.m. Larry Carlburg reported his car struck a red pickup in the 300 block on E Main. Sunday at 1:04 p.m. Joe Batesel’s eastbound 1958 Chevrolet was damaged when Carl Pate backed a 1961 Corvair from the curb, leaving slight damage to Batesel’s left rear.

Car Off Bridge Drowns Driver Near Lamar Missouri
William J. Murray a 71 year old from Pittsburg Kansas was found dead in a car that rode off a gravel road bridge 12 miles southwest of Lamar Barton County officers said Murray drowned around 6 p m Saturday but the accident was not discovered until noon Sunday.
