Two Brothers Arrested on Assault Warrant

Acting for the sheriff's office police yesterday arrested Carl and Perry Watkins of 109 N Central on an assault and battery warrant. They were taken to Erie in lieu of bond pending a city court hearing set for 3 30 p m Thursday. The brothers are charged on a complaint by Gary Morrison of rural Yates Center accusing them of striking him and breaking the back glass of his car Saturday night in the Sunset Club parking south of town.

Youth Burglary and Larceny Hearings in Chanute

Two Chanute youths were bound over to district court on burglary and larceny charges after a preliminary city court hearing. Six others faced petty larceny charges with sentences of 90 days jail, one year parole, and restitution.
