Welfare checks delayed for July mailings in Kansas
Topeka AP Kansas Welfare Director Robert Harder said that July public assistance checks cannot be mailed before July 1 due to changes in federal welfare fund regulations. He emphasized efforts to mail on the first day, noting July is the first month state checks are issued from Topeka.
