New Ambulance Firm Starts in Chanute

Ed Barrick announces Professional Ambulance Service in Chanute at 411 E Main. The firm will handle Medicare calls without cash on call and will notify Police Sheriff and Highway Patrol on all accidents. Barrick bids for the city contract when Reddick's expires. He holds EMT degree from the Ambulance School and is a Red Cross instructor. Charges include 21.50 basic, 25 emergency, 125 to KU Medical Center or Wichita, 21.50 plus 0.75 mile out of town. One full time and five part time staff planned.
