A Florida judge ruled Nicholas and Jean DeMartino may keep custody of Lenore after New York courts ordered their return of the child. Jean embraced Miami attorney William Colson as both parents wept with relief, while Olga Scarpetta also cried. Scarpetta, 33, had placed Lenore for adoption in New York after Lenore's birth on May 18, 1970, then lost custody when the DeMar tinos took Lenore in Brooklyn.

Claude E. Vealey, co defendant in the 1969 Yablonski family murders, pleaded guilty to murder in Washington Pennsylvania. Health Screening Underway For 92 Children At City Event
