Wheat quota vote set for Saturday across commercial wheat states
Two chairmen Bennett Haddan and Walter Bradford say a two thirds yes vote will lift support for the 1956 crop to about 75 to 92 percent of parity with quotas and penalties for excess wheat. A one third or more no vote drops support to 50 percent parity and no penalties. A 15 acre limit defines eligible voters and acreage allotments remain for price support even if quotas fail. Delegates tour and meet Eisenhower and top ag officials during a week long camp program.
