Erie Church Group Meetings Report Courage to Be Christian
Christian church CWF groups met Thursday with covered dish luncheons marking the church year end. Attendees included Mrs Zella Baldwin group 1 nine members Mrs Junior Currie devotionals Mrs Henry Watkins lesson. group 3 led by Mrs Paul Casady with 12 members and two guests Rev Glenn Crosby and Joyce Priess. Group 4 welcomed Rev and Mrs Crosby with eight members. Mrs Fred McCoy led the lesson. Group 2 delayed to June 16 for lunch with Mrs Halph Watkins. children to bring sack lunches for a picnic. Kept updates on Walker Beard recovering from a heart attack in Parsons. Other social notes include visits and relatives from Wellington Humboldt Parsons Towanda Upland and Scranton. A new baby Terry Lee born to Mr and Mrs Richard Lock with grandparents and great grandparents named. Joyce Priess visiting from Bethany College will study piano at UConn Storrs later this month. Vacation Bible School program showcased nine days of activities with class songs and displays.
