Two False Fire Alarms Reported Here Yesterday
Two false fire alarms were telephoned to the fire department yesterday, one at 3 55 p m and the other at 9 44 p m, both from Lafayette addresses. The caller sounded like a girl about 12 to 14 years old and police on duty heard the calls. Fire trucks were dispatched to 207 S Lafayette and 407 S Lafayette as a precaution. Intentionally false alarms are a misdemeanor with fines up to 100 dollars.

Dream of Adventure Ends in Rescue for Two Boys
Two 14 year old Kansas City youths William Cullison and Gregory Mills set out on a makeshift raft in the Kaw River inspired by Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.
