Missouri Senator Thomas F. Eagleton says he will present his case to presidential candidate George McGovern this evening over his future on the ticket. He notes the decision will be joint and he cannot prejudge his actions if asked to withdraw after the meeting.
Changes in county commission districts affect where voters cast ballots in 1968 elections. Grant township and part of Erie township moved to the first district in 1970, and Chanute fourth ward precincts shifted to the second. Big Creek and North Tioga townships and Chanute wards remain in the second. Republican voters in Chanute fourth ward precincts will vote in the second district contest between Kenneth Casper and Bill Richman. Grant township and Erie township voters are not voting for a first district commissioner this year. Annexed Chanute residents vote in their assigned precincts.

William P. Krapf Jr. 24 of Wichita was shot to death at a west Wichita residence during a motorcycle gang party. A 21-year-old suspect is in satisfactory condition in a Wichita hospital under police guard. A state murder warrant is expected. Graveside services set for Thayer Cemetery at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Holmes, Bob Jones University grad, ministerial lineage, Chamber of Commerce treasurer, married with one child, works at Kustom Electronics. Campaign manager is Fred Forslund. No opponent filed.
Neosho County will use three 18 to 21 year olds on election boards Tuesday. Louise Fickel 19 works at Chanute 1st precinct 4th ward fire station. Jim Womeldorf 20 and Bill Lease 20 serve Mission Township at St Paul. Fickel a Chanute HS grad. Womeldorf a Kansas State University senior. Lease to report to Navy training in San Diego.
Total six month patient services revenue reached 649812.12 up 14167.27 from last year with operating profit rising by 22727.05 and net gain after depreciation 54455.46. Admissions and days declined from 1971 while June shows a 109690.16 operating gain 91158.74 total.
Robert J. Sander of Victoria was sentenced to one year in Ellis County jail after pleading guilty to stealing a plow from Alfred G. Dinkel on May 1. The 46 year old state VFW commander, elected June 11, admitted guilt.

Paul Henri Spaak longtime Belgian Socialist leader and architect of European unity and NATO died early today at age 73.
