Searchers Recover Man's Body In River Near Brown Wells Dam
The body of Stuart Knowles, 30, Joplin, was found in the Neo Sho River at 8 50 a m. Knowles was swept from the Brown Wells dam Wednesday afternoon while working with a carnival in Chanute. It was located about 1 1/2 miles downstream by Sheriff David Kern and Game Warden John Lingg. Kern thanked the responders for their assistance.
