A list of 51 foreign students who will spend a weekend in Chanute homes August 8 10 has been received by The Tribune from the Kansas University orientation center. The students arrive in Lawrence for a six week orientation before starting American college studies in September. Some may be delayed by disturbances in the Middle East and Indonesia. Accident Near Topeka Fatal to Soldier
One person was killed and four injured in a collision of two autos on U S 75 about eight miles south of Topeka. The dead is Staff Sergeant W G A Parker of Forbes Air Force Base. Wayne McGinnis of Topeka, 32, driver of the second car, was critically injured and not expected to survive.

Two veteran balloonists Cmdr Malcolm Ross and M Lee Lewis lifted from a Minnesota iron mine in a 17 story plastic balloon gondola carrying a TV camera.
