Lightning Strikes Youth on Pawnee Pass Rescued
A 16 year old Explorer Scout, William MacDonald of Denver, was struck by lightning on Pawnee Pass west of Boulder. Rescuers from Rocky Mountain Rescue Unit and Longmont Rescue carried him down a steep trail on a lone wheel stretcher to Boulder Community Hospital with burns to the head shoulder and back. His condition was reported as good.
