County Attorney hospitalized after morning attack at post office
Neosho County Attorney Raymond Radford, 1022 S. Larson, was struck on the head on the post office steps at 8 am. He suffered a scalp wound needing 20 stitches and a mild concussion but remained conscious. Suspect Harry Atkins, 56, Chanute, identified by Radford and three witnesses, was taken into custody near Earlton after a one hour search.
